Author: ARCA9 Subject: Andross' Children Posted: APRIL 25, 1999 17:58 I had just finished my third year at the Cornerian Flight Academy when it was closed. General Juniper shut it down with no more explanation then that in times of peace there was no need to train new pilots. I still wanted to be a pilot so I went to Katina to finish my last year of school. I was not thrilled about it but at least I was getting trained. Graduation had been just the other day and I was just arriving home. I stepped off the transport and blinked in Solar's bright light. It had been a long trip from Katina and I was tired. I scanned the crowds for my parents. They had been very excited the night before, when they found out I would be coming home. They promised to pick me up at the airport. "God it's good to be home." A young avis stepped up beside me. "You don't know how much I've missed Corneria." I glanced over at him. "Yes I do Jus. I'm as happy to be back as you are." At first glance Justin looked like just a normal avis but if you spent enough time around him, like I did, you could see the small amount of feline grace and sleekness. His father was Falco Lombardi, the avian pilot of the Star Fox team, his mother was a sort of free-lance cat pilot, named Katt Monroe, that joined up with Star Fox. "Ash." A voice called. I looked back at the crowd and smiled as a tall red vixen walked towards me. This was my mother, Vixey McCloud. She was smiling broadly as she pushed through the crowd. Walking next to her was another fox. I cringed a little upon seeing him. This was my brother Josh and we had never gotten along very well. "Mom." I hugged her as soon as she came up to us. "Welcome home." She said. "And you Justin. You must have grown a foot since I saw you last." "Only two and a half inches." Justin said. "But who's counting?" Vixey pulled him into a hug too. Justin spent enough time over at my house to be considered a member of the family. Falco and Katt felt the same way about me. "Hey Squirt." Josh said ruffling the fur between my ears. I gritted my teeth as he did this. He had given me this name ever since he had grown and I had not. I was happy to see that he had to reach up to do it now. Maybe he would have to stop calling me Squirt now that I was as tall as he was. "Where's dad?" I asked realizing that he was not there. "There's been a little bad news." My mom said. "Let's get your bags and I'll tell you about it on the way home." Once we were on the highway speeding towards Corneria City I could not wait any longer. "So what happened mom? Dad's not dead is he?" I asked with worry in my voice. "Oh no, nothing like that. Its just that General Juniper has cancelled the contract with Star Fox." "What!?" both Justin and I said at the same time. "He can't do that." I said. "Well he did Squirt." Josh said turning around. "More stuff has been happening around here since you've been gone. The Army's been cut almost in half and without any new pilots being trained no one is being accepted." "And I suppose they just wouldn't take you." I said. "No, I didn't even register. Dad said that" "Josh I don't want to hear that language right now." My mom said. "So dad's taking it really bad huh?" I asked. My mom nodded. "He's doing everything he can to keep Great Fox and the arwings from being scrapped by the Army." "He can't do that." I said in a near panic. "Those ships belong to dad." "Don't worry Fox wont give them up without a fight." My mom said. "He's as stubborn as his father." I leaned back against the seat. I always did that when I was mad or frustrated. Right now I was both. I could not understand how General Juniper could do this. I mean, even if it was peaceful times there was still need for an Army. The only reason Corneria had survived the Cornerian-Venomian war was because he had kept the Army in working condition. Things had been tight between him and my father ever since he had taken over after General Pepper died. Author: ARCA9 Subject: Andross' Children Part 2 Posted: APRIL 27, 1999 16:10 The car pulled into the driveway in front of a nice-sized brick house. I knew my parents had made enough money working as mercenaries to live in a house the size of Macbeth but my parents did not like to throw their money around too much. We lived more than comfortably in this house, and so did the Lombardis who lived next door. Justin jumped out of the car in the arms of his parents who must have seen us coming down the road. "Oh welcome back honey." Katt said hugging her son. "Things have been so boring around here without you." "Should I be offended by that?" Falco said with a slight smile on his beak. "You know what I mean." Katt stood up and gave him a quick peck on the cheek. Falco smiled. "Let's get your bags inside and you can tell us everything." "Sure thing dad. See you later Ash." I nodded. He grabbed his bags and headed inside. I took mine and followed my mom into the house. "You're room's still ready the way you left it." My mom said. "Do you need some help with those bags?" "No." I said heading for the stairs. By the time I got to the top of the stairs I was exhausted. We had not had any stairs in the dorms on Katina. All that training and I could not even get up the stairs with a few bags. I pushed the door to my room open and dropped my bags just inside. I looked around smiling. My room was still the same. Painted black with pictures of planets and starships everywhere. My bed had a black comforter with an arwing on it. I flung myself back on the bed and sighed. "Hey Ash." A voice said. I sat up and looked towards the window where the voice had come from. I laughed and jumped off the bed when I realized what it was. I grabbed a walkie-talkie from under the window and switched it on. "I can't believe these things still work." I said. "Neither can I." Justin said. "I remember when we were five and we used to stay up late talking to each other." "And then our parents would come in and make us go to bed." I laughed remembering. "Did you find out anything about this contract thing? I asked my dad and he refused to talk about it." "I haven't seem him yet. I think he's in his study." I said. "I'll go find out and call you back later." "Sure thing." Justin said. I put down the walkie-talkie and headed downstairs. "Ready for dinner?" my mom asked. "You don't know how much I've missed those words." I said. Dinner would of course be some pre-prepared meal. My mom could not cook at all but it was better then the slop we'd gotten on Katina. "Is dad in his study?" "Yep. He wanted to talk to you." My mom said pulling the meal out of the microwave. I nodded and headed across the living room to my dad's office. I opened the door and stepped inside. My dad was bent over his desk writing. Even in his advancing age I could see the trained warrior he still was. He heard me come and turned around in his chair. His eyes twinkled when he saw me. "Hi Ash." He said smiling. "Hi dad. How are you?" He shook his head. "I take it your mom told you." I sighed and nodded. "You're not going to let Great Fox get scrapped are you?" I asked. "Never." My dad said. "But Juniper's trying." "Is there anything we can do?" I asked. "As a matter of fact there is. That's what I wanted to talk to you about. I already told Josh. I know that Juniper's going to use the fact that I can't fly any more against me. So I wanted to give Great Fox to you and your brother. If there is ever a need you can lay claim to her and Juniper can't do anything about it." My mouth dropped open in shock. "G...give Great Fox,...to us?" "That's what you wanted right. That's why you trained?" my dad asked. "Yes." I said. "But how...?" "I'm going to leave that up to you and Josh. Now you don't need to go out right away and start the team back up." My dad said. "But just know that you can. No matter what that bast~rd Juniper says." I nodded. "Thanks dad." I gave him a strong hug. "Now come on dinner's ready." Author: ARCA9 Subject: Andross' Children Part 3 Posted: APRIL 28, 1999 18:28 After dinner I hurried up to my room to call Justin. It was a few minutes before I got a reply. "What's up?" he asked. "You're not going to believe this." I said. "What?" "You know Great Fox right?" "Great Fox? You mean Star Fox's flagship with three NTD-FX9 plasma engines. That Great Fox?" he asked. "Never heard of it." "You idiot. My dad gave her to me. Well me and Josh but still..." I could see Justin looking at me through the window with disbelief on his face. His window was right beside mine. "Crazy." He finally said. "So what does it mean." "It means Juniper's not going to get Great Fox." I said. "And we may get the chance to fly in Star Fox." Justin smiled. The next day Justin and I felt like relaxing on our first day back home. I borrowed my dad's car and we drove to the city. I found the old bar we used to hang out at and parked in the back ally locking the car doors. The neighborhood had changed a bit since we'd been there. As we entered the bar I found it to be darker and louder then I remembered. It had use to be a place for the Cornerian Academy cadets to come and hang out. Of course the Academy was closed now so there were no more cadets. "It's changed a bit." I said quietly. "Well you know what they say. You can never go back." Justin said. "Shoot I sound like I'm forty. Slap me quick." "Gladly." Someone shoved Justin from behind sending him right into me. I kept my balance and turned to see who had pushed Justin. A silver gray wolf stood in front of me. The first thing I saw where his eyes. They were a deep golden color and seemed to see everything. Other then that the wolf was quite normal looking. "What do you think youre doing scum?" I growled. "You got a problem vixen?" the silver wolf asked putting his hand on the gun at his side. I realized that I did not have my gun but I was not about to back down. "Yea and it's you." I snarled. He scoffed. "You're not worth it." He said. "I'd just hurt you anyway." "I didn't know you cared." I said. "I don't." he snapped. "My name's Raider. If you ever hear it again you'll be dead." "I'll keep that in mind." I growled. Raider walked off with a bunch of his friends. It took most of my self-control to keep from going after him. That was the temper I had inherited from my mother. "You sure you want to stay here?" Justin asked. "I'm not about to let that Raider have the satisfaction of thinking he scared me away. We stay." I said looking around. In the back corner I saw a small crowd gathered. I headed over. Subject: Andross' Children Part 4 I pushed my way to the middle of the crowd. There was a cat and a toad arm wrestling over the table. At first it seemed like the cat was winning but then the toad grunted and slammed the cat's hand onto the table. "When will you ever learn Doug?" the toad asked. "You're too cocky for your own good Kyle." Doug said pulling some money out of his pocket and handing it to Kyle. "You'll loose one day." "No one'll ever beat this." Kyle stood up and kissed his flexed muscle. "Who's this? Justin asked from beside my shoulder. "He seems to be in love with himself." "Excuse me feather head?" Kyle turned to us. "Do you have something to say to me?" "No, all mighty mountain of muscle. I'm not worthy my lord." Justin said jokingly. "Are you trying to start something?" Kyle reached for the gun of his belt. "Wait a minute." I said quickly stepping between the two of them. "No he's not trying to start anything." "And who are you? His babysitter?" "No, my name's Ash McCloud and I'm not in the mood to have him shot full of holes." I said. "McCloud? As in Fox McCloud of Star Fox?" Kyle asked. I nodded. Kyle laughed. "And don't tell me you're Falco and Katt's son." He said to Justin. "Justin Lombardi." Justin confirmed. "Well freak it. My old man would've killed me if I'd shot either one of you." He put the gun back in his belt. "My dad's Slippy Toad." "So that means you'll leave us holeless?" Justin asked. "Sure enough. Sit down." Kyle said. The crowd drifted away when they realized that there wasn't going to be a fight. We sat down at the table and started to talk. "So you finished your school on Katina?" Kyle asked. "That sucks." "Yea." I said. "I'd rather of finished school here but when it closed we didn't have much choice." "That's right. I graduated the year it closed." Kyle said. "So that means you're 19." "Actually I just turned 20." Kyle said. "I wonder why we never met you before?" I asked. "I mean if our parent are friends." "My dad's just so busy with his inventions." Kyle said. "He doesn't have time to visit. I guess that's why I'm here. Nothing better to do. I mean I do know machines but my dad seems to take all the fun out of it." "You any good?" I asked. "Only the best." Kyle said. "Whoever didn't see that coming needs a good whack on the head." Justin said. "Quiet feather head. What can you do?" "Make jokes at the speed of light." Justin said. "But of course that's not as good as you my lord." Kyle rolled his eyes. "So what are you two doing here anyway. I see that neither of you has a gun. That's just asking for trouble." "Just trying to take a night out. We just got back to Corneria last night." "Uh excuse me." A quiet voice said from behind me. I turned to see a brown colored dog standing there holding a mug of beer. He looked nervous. Justin, of course, took immediate advantage of the poor dog. He jumped up and took the mug from the bewildered dog's hands. "Oh thank you." He said. "I accept this Oscar with a joyful heart." He wiped away an imaginary tear. "And I'd like to thank all the little people I stepped on to get here. My hair stylist," his feathers were a mess. "And my voice consultant." His voice cracked. Kyle and I were near rolling as we laughed. The dog was nervously backing away. "Wait." I said bringing my laughter under control. "Sit down. What's you name?" The dog sat down. Justin handed him back his mug of beer and sat down too. "I didn't mean to eavesdrop but I heard the name Fox McCloud." He said. "That you did." I said. "And do you have a problem with my father?" I said ready to fight if I had to. "No, no. My name's Daniel Gray. Your father and mine are good friends." "Bill Gray's son huh? I thought you lived on Katina." I said. "We're visiting for a week or so." Daniel said. "I used to come here when I went to the Academy." "Join the club." Justin said. "Of course it's not the place we use to hang out in." "I can see that." Daniel said. "I was getting ready to leave when I heard you talking." "Well Dan, pleased to meet you. I'm Ash McCloud, this is Justin Lombardi, and Kyle Toad." Hellos were exchanged. "I heard about General Juniper trying to scrap Great Fox. What's your father doing about that?" Kyle asked. "Well he gave her to me and my brother so we have legal claim to her." I said. "Wow!" Daniel said. "You mean you own Great Fox?" "More or less." I said. "It's not that big of a deal. It's been years since my dad's seen her. She probably couldn't fly anymore anyway." "Would you mind if I came to take a look?" Kyle asked. "I could tell you what type of shape she's in." "I'd have to ask Josh." I said. "Maybe we can meet here tomorrow and you can meet him." "Can I come too?" Daniel asked. "Sure." I said. "How does seven tomorrow night sound?" "I can be here." Kyle said. "Sounds fine." Daniel said. I stood up. "Then it was nice meeting you both and we'll se you tomorrow." They both nodded. We all headed for the door. Just as I was leaving I turned back inside. I saw Raider sitting and laughing with his friend in the corner. I had this strange feeling that I couldn't just forget him. He looked up suddenly and his golden eyes met mine. I turned away and hurried out the door. Author: ARCA9 Subject: Andross' Children Part 5 Posted: MAY 02, 1999 19:17 The drive home was silent. Justin was tired and I was ready to call it a night. Or morning actually being as it was twelve-thirty. I was sure my parents would chew me out when I got home. Oh well, I'd had a good time. I parked the car in the driveway and say good night to Justin. I headed into the house. The lights were on in the kitchen and in dad's office. "That's weird." I said quietly going to turn them off. "Mom? Dad? I'm home." There was no answer. I shook my head. They must be asleep. I thought heading upstairs. I peaked my head into their room. I expected to see the silhouette of their bodies draped over each other but the bed was empty. I flipped the light on. There was no one in the room. I heard the door open downstairs. "There they are." I sighed racing down the stairs. I nearly knocked Josh down the steps. "Hey Squirt. Isn't it past your bed time?" he asked. "Man, I thought you were mom and dad." I said. "What? They aren't home?" "No." I said. "I just got home and they weren't here. The lights were still on too." "Strange." Josh said. "No wait not actually. You've only been home a day and they already had to get out for the night." He smiled. "Funny." I said pushing past him to head back up the stairs. I fell back on my bed and stopped myself from calling Justin. His parents would kill me if I call this late. Josh stuck his head in my door. "Hey if you want to talk to mom and dad I'll come get you when they get home. I'm staying up to watch a movie I wanted to see." "Thanks Josh." I said. "No problem Squirt." He said and ducked out of the doorway as I tossed a well-aimed pillow at his head. I heard him turn on the TV downstairs. I was set on staying awake until mom and dad got home but the sound of the TV slowly sent me off to sleep. Author: ARCA9 Subject: Andross' Children Part 6 Posted: MAY 02, 1999 19:25 I was in a large bay. In front of me was Great Fox. She was as beautiful as I had always imagined. I smiled. Five shadows appeared below the ship headed towards me. As they stepped out into the light I saw that it was my mom and Falco, Katt, Slippy, and Bill. I was confused. Then I looked over next to me where an arwing was parked. My face reflected in the glass but then instead of my face it was my father's. "Help." He said. I woke up with a gasp. I was breathing hard and sweating all over. The clock next to my bed said three in the morning. I lay back down trying to even out my breathing. "What in Lylat was that?" I asked myself. I lay looking into the darkness for a long time until I finally fell asleep again. "Hey Squirt, are you ever getting up?" I heard Josh yell up the stairs. I blinked awake and sat up. I was still laying on top of my covers. I got up quickly and changed into some clean clothes. Then I headed downstairs. "I thought you were never getting up." Josh said. "What time is it?" "Almost two." He said. I was a little surprised. I was usually an early riser. "Where are mom and dad then?" "Not here." Josh said. "They never came in last night. I stayed up pretty late too." "Not here? Where could they be?" I asked getting a little worried as I remembered my dream from the night before. "I don't know." Josh said. "I'm going to see Justin." I said and I hurried next door. I knocked on the door quickly. After a few minutes, and a couple more knocks, Justin opened the door. "I don't want any." He said and then slammed the door. I would've laughed but I was too worried. "Jus, open the door. I've got to ask you something." He immediately opened the door. "What?" "Are your parents here?" I asked. "No." he shook his head. "Man I have a really funny feeling. My parents are gone too. They weren't home when I got home last night and they never came home after that." "They're probably out partying." Justin said. "Oh jeez, come on. I want to see something." I pulled Justin back to my house and into my dad's office. I walked up to his desk. There was a paper lying on top with a pen on it. I quickly scanned the paper. It was some kind of letter to General Juniper but that's not what I was interested about. At the bottom of the letter the last sentence read. 'These things all in mind I wou...' and there was not more. "Why didn't your dad finish the letter?" Justin asked. "Because for some reason he couldn't." I said. "I have a bad feeling. We need to get Josh and go talk to Kyle and Daniel. I have a feeling that this may effect them too." Author: ARCA9 Subject: Andross' Children Part 7 Posted: MAY 03, 1999 18:16 Josh, Justin, and I were in the bar before seven. Josh was a little skeptical about something being wrong but he agreed to come. Daniel came in almost exactly at seven. "Dan this is my brother Josh." I introduced them. "Hey." Dan said and they shook hands. "Where do you think Kyle is?" Daniel asked. "His lordship is probably beating someone into a pulp." Justin said. "You want to be next?" Kyle said sitting back down. "If it is your will lord." Justin said. "You are a feather head." Kyle said, then he looked at Josh. "You must be Josh, I'm Kyle Toad." They shook hands. "Now to get right into this." I said. "I need to know if either of your parents are missing?" "What?" Kyle said. "How did you know that?" I shook my head. I'd gotten the answer I'd expected though I hadn't wanted it. "Mine are too. " Daniel said. "What does that mean." "They all ran off for a weekend getaway on Fortuna." Justin said. "I hear the skiing's good this time of year." "Justin, this is serious." I said. "Sorry Ash. " He said sighing." So what do we do?" "So you are capable of intelligent conversation." Kyle stated. "Of course." Justin said, then he smiled. "Though I am told it does not happen often lord." "I think you could be right about this Squirt." Josh said. My face blushed as Josh used my nickname in front of my new friends. They Kyle smirked a little. If looks could kill, Josh would have been dead where he sat. "So I guess it's a bout time to do with dad said." Josh said. "He said if it was ever necessary we should start Star Fox back up." "What?" I nearly choked. "If dad is really gone Juniper could use it as an excuse to scrap her." Josh said. "How about we go see her and decide what to do." Daniel and Kyle nodded eagerly. Justin smiled and my head was spinning with happiness. This was a dream come true. I just wish my parents didn't have to be missing for it to happen. It was dark by the time we got to the Cornerian Hanger. We sneaked past the sleeping security. Dad had told Josh that Great Fox was in hanger 32. That was in the very back of the compound. "How do we get past security?" Josh asked when we found the right Bay. "Leave that to me." Daniel said. "The Army turned me down for a job in computer programming. I'm going to make them sorry they did." It took his only a few minutes to override the security and the door slid open. We all headed inside. The Bay was pitch black. Josh fumbled for the light switch and turned it on. Light poured into the Bay. I blinked a few times and then looked up. Great Fox sat in front of us in all her glory. She looked just like she had in my dream only older. "Wow." Kyle breathed. They don't make flagships like her anymore." "How about a tour?" Daniel said. "I'd love to see her computer system." "Well who's going to stop us?" Josh asked. "Let's go. We headed up the open ramp into Great Fox's belly. The Launching Bay was huge. There were seven tarps sitting off to the side. I went right over and lifted one of the tarps to see the sleek silver body of an arwing underneath. "Guess what I found." I said. "The Lost City of Atlantis?" Justin asked. "No." I took a firm grasp of the tarp and yanked. The tarp slid off bringing down a load of dust. I coughed and then sneezed several times. "Great job." Josh sneezed. There was quite a bit of sneezing until the dust finally cleared. When it had we had a clear view of the arwing. "Oh wow." I said moving closer and ran my hand over the sleek metal. It looked old, I mean it was over forty years old, but there was still a look of beauty to it. "She's beautiful." "But as outdated as all." Kyle said. "That arwing wouldn't last five minutes in a dogfight if it even still flies at all." I saw that the weapons system on the arwing was pretty old. There were only TB-H1 laser cannons and the system could only shoot smart bombs. I had studied weapons on Katina. They worked a little more on weapons development on Katina then they had on Corneria. "The weapons are old too." I said. "But they could be fixed right? Updated?" "Probably." Josh said. "But it'd take a whole crap load of money." "So. We can do it." I said getting excited. "What do you guys say?" Josh asked. "How about we start Star Fox back up?" "Ashley, preferably Ash McCloud, weapons expert and maverick pilot reporting in." I said sticking my hand out. "Justin Lombardi, feather head and jokester extraordinare. I'm in." Justin put his hand on mine. Kyle cracked a smiled and added his hand to the pile. "Kyle Toad, expert mechanic. I'm in if I don't have to fly by him." "Daniel Gray, computer genius and hacker." Daniel smiled and added his hand. "Josh McCloud, mechanic's major and top gun pilot." He put his hand on top of the pile. "Star Fox." We said together and the team was reborn. Author: ARCA9 Subject: Andross' Children Part 8 Posted: MAY 08, 1999 18:47 We then had two things to do. One of course was fixing up Great Fox and the arwings. The other was keeping it a secret from General Juniper. We knew he would never let us do what we were doing is he knew about it. We did recruit some help from some of the Cornerian Army pilots who were happy to see Star Fox coming back. They helped with security and getting supplies in and out. Fixing up the ships themselves took the whole crap load of money Josh had predicted. We all took our particular talents and worked on that part of the ship. I took weapons. I had a fun time replacing the old weapons with top of the line Hyper-X lasers. I even sprung for an ion cannon for Great Fox. Kyle and Josh got together to work on the engines. Completely rehauling or even replacing them. Daniel took to the ships' computer system. All day long he could be found at Great Fox's main computer typing away as happy as a clam. Justin, who had no particular talent except for being crazy, took the job of cleaning up the rooms on Great Fox. He set about it happily saying that his head would be great for dusting. It took almost five seasons of work before we were finished. During that time we all became great friends. Josh sort of emerged as our leader. I did not mind except that he kept calling me Squirt. He finally announced that we were done and called a meeting in the Sitting Room. We all sat around the round table in the center of the room to talk. "We did it guys." Josh said happily. "Great Fox is ready to fly again and so are the arwings." "And the new weapons system can take down anything in the sky." I said. "Though it was a pain in the butt getting the ion cannon in here without Juniper finding out about it." "And the computers are updated and ready to go." Daniel said. "I even found ROB in the back of one of the hard drives. I woke him up and updated him too. You there Robert?" "Here and ready." Robert said from the speaker on the wall. "So what do we do now?" Kyle asked. "Wait here." Josh said. "I have to go get something." He hurried out of the room. A few minutes later he walked back into the room. I just stared at him in shock. He was wearing full Star Fox uniform. The deep blue flight suit with the baggy silver jacket. The Jacket had SF and the Star Fox symbol embroidered on it. "I did a little research and found out what the old uniforms really looked like and then ordered the same thing. I think the company was a little shocked but here." He threw us each a package. "I feel like I should solute or something." Kyle said. "Don't even start with that." Josh laughed. "Now go try them on." I changed quickly in my quarters and then hurried back to the Sitting Room. We really looked like a team now. Author: ARCA9 Subject: Andross' Children Part 9 Posted: MAY 10, 1999 18:57 "General Juniper's visiting President Adipose today." Josh smiled the next day. "Who thinks we should drop by for a visit?" "Unannounced?" Justin said in mock horror. I smiled. "I'm all for it. And it mean he won't be around to give us grief when we take Great Fox out." "It'll give us a chance to try out the arwings too." Kyle said. "Let's go." We headed to the Control Room. "All right Robert. Open the sky hatch and take us up." "Sure thing." Robert said. I felt Great Fox's engines start up with a purr. The hatch above us slowly creaked open. With a slight groan Great Fox lifted from her hanger and rose out of the hatch into the sky. No alarm sounded. We'd told security what we were doing and they were ready for us. We rose like a white cloud over the base. Author: ARCA9 Subject: Andross' Children Part 10 Posted: MAY 13, 1999 10:34 "Let's get to the arwings." Josh said. "Robert take Great Fox into orbit and we'll call you when we're coming back." We got into our arwings. "All right. Everybody ready?" Josh asked. His picture appeared along with his message. He looked truly proud. "Fine here." Kyle said. "Ready to go." Justin said. "Dang, is this thing supposed to come off?" "I'm ready." Daniel said. "Let's go bro." I replied flipping a few more things on. "Then let's go." Josh's arwing shot out of the Bay's now open doors. I followed a split second behind him. It took us no more then five minutes to arrive over Corneria City. "Looks like we're drawing some attention." I said looking down at the city. The people on the streets were looking up and pointing at us as we flew over the city. Justin suddenly shot past in front of me and did a barrel roll. "Ye ha." He shouted. "This thing is so cool." "Don't go running into any buildings." Kyle said. "I'm not fixing any of these arwings until we come back from our first dogfight." I weaved in and out of some building. The arwing's handling was so smooth. Now for that g-diffuser. I pulled back hard and my arwing shot up and around performing a loop-de-loop. I laughed as I came back around. Daniel swerved as I nearly hit him. "Watch it Ash." He said. "Sorry Dan." "No fancy flying Squirt." Josh said. "And let's take it up to three thousand." We pulled up over the buildings. The president's house, called The House, appeared in front of us. "We might have a little trouble getting in." Josh said. "So stay close and don't do anything to get us shot."
