Friendship & Betrayal (EXTENDED VERSION)

(((((CHAPTER 1)))))

After Andross's exile the team was just settling down getting things 
back to normal again.  James was walking with
his son Fox down the hall to General Papper's office.  On there way 
they had passed the rec-room where they spotted 
Peppy and Pigma.  "Peppy can you watch Fox for a minute while I talk to 
the general?" asked James "yeah sure" Peppy
said willing to.  "Ok Fox just go sit with Pepster for a while and read 
your pilot books.  I got to talk to General Pepper."
"Ok daddy" said Fox in a cheerful voice.  After a few minutes had 
passed in the general's office Pepper had been furious
with Andross's actions.  Andross had tried to take over Corneria too 
many times and had turned Corneria into a wasteland.
"James we need to take Andross down" said Pepper in an angry voice.  
"Sir it's only been a year are you sure he could 
come up with something in that planet? that planet is a big wasteland 
itself. But there was the Star Wolf Team that was with him"
said James "you never know with his twisted and evil mind" said Pepper 
in protest "he could be gathering up a team of
Venomians right now we need to prepare ahead of time."  Meanwhile back 
in the rec-room Fox was having the best time
with Peppy the veterin hare.  Peppy had helped him with his studies on 
being a great pilot and hoping to join the Star Fox
Team and join his father.  Pigma Dengar on the other hand didn't want 
to have anything to do with Star Fox anymore but
the rest of the team didn't know that.  He had a plan of BETRAYAL all 
layed out in his mind.  He couldn't stand watching
Peppy and Fox anymore so he went out and stood in the hallway for a 
while.  After some time had passed Fox was tired
so he napped on Peppy's lap.  Peppy wanted to check on Pigma and James 
so he got up slowly and put a pillow under 
Fox's head.  As Peppy walked out of the rec-room he saw Pigma sitting 
on a bench looking kind of down and anxious
for or from something.  "What's up with you Pigma?" asked Peppy 
obviously curious.  "I just...I just...don't bug me leave
me alone" said Pigma wanting to turn on his team now but held it in 
until they were in the air.  "Ok Pigma sorry 
i'll leave you alone" he said as he walked away from him perplex.  As 
Peppy was just about to knock on the general's door he
overheard them talking about some sort of strange activity on Venom so 
he rushed into the room saluting first 
then asking in shock "what kind of activity are we getting from Venom?" 
"aah you are here just in time Peppy" 
said Pepper "I would like you, James, and Pigma to investigate this 
activity i'm seeing on Venom.  Are you up to it?"
"we'll get right on it general" said James obeying the Pepper.  They 
both saluted and left his office.  "Go to the docking
bay and get the arwings ready" commanded James.  Then Peppy was off to 
the docking bay grabbing Pigma on his way.
As James was on his way to the docking bay he remembered Fox so he went 
into the rec-room to say his "good-bye."  Fox had awakened
from the running and saw his dad "Fox we have to go investigate on 
Venom will you be ok here by yourself for a while?"
said James making sure "yes daddy I will but do it as fast as you can 
cause I will miss you after a while" said Fox with
sort of a sad voice.  "I'll be back son and you have General Pepper if 
you need or want to ask him something" said James
reasurring him.  Fox and James both hugged and James kissed Fox on the 
head.  Then James ran down to the docking bay
and everyone geared up as the arwings were ready for take off.  
Everybody put on their steel-toed boots, team jackets, 
uniform pance, belts with the triangles, and com-links that went on 
their heads.  After that they all took off in their 
arwings and headed for the planet Venom.

(((((CHAPTER 2)))))

As the team was getting farther out of Corneria City and everything 
getting smaller they had entered space and that's when
James went through an arwing check.  "Everybody make sure your 
G-diffuser systems are up and running" he said.  
"Everything's looking good all systems go" said Peppy ready for action 
"Pigma here everything is fine" he said with a sort
of evil voice.  Everything was quiet in space nothing but stars all 
around them.  Back on Corneria Fox was missing his 
dad already.  He ran out of the rec-room to the general's office 
peeking his head through the door but knocking first.
"Um Pepper..sir can I talk to my daddy?" he said anxiously "sure Fox if 
I can get him on" said Pepper trying to get
a hold of him.  "James McCloud come in over" then after ten seconds he 
responded.  "James here go ahead" "General 
Pepper here I have someone who wants to talk to you" "ok put him on" 
Pepper looked at Fox smiling "go ahead Fox"
"daddy?" he said in a little voice "Fox? you miss me already?" he said 
suprisingly but knew he would already.
"I wish I could be up there with you fighting venomians" said Fox and 
as Peppy heard that he could've cried because Fox
was so attatched to his father even as a tiny kit.  James smiled "well 
son you will be soon I got to go" "ok daddy bye" said
Fox giving it back to Pepper.  "Thanks Pepper" said Fox giving him a 
little salute before leaving.  Pepper chuckled 
a little doing the same "no problem Fox."  After the talk James glanced 
out the left part of his window and he couldn't 
help noticing that Pigma was talking to somebody.  "NO! but Andross why 
can't I do it now?" said Pigma anxious to turn
on the team and collect his money from Andross for it. "It has to be in 
Venom if we want to capture them both" said the
evil Andross "damn you Andross..fine i'll wait until we enter Venom 
JEEZ" Pigma said in frusteration "talk like that again
and i'll come up there and shoot you down myself" said Andross very 
angry.  After Pigma was done talking with Andross
James came in asking "Pigma who were you talking to? it looked like a 
pretty intense conversation."Um...I was...talking
with Peppy" Pigma had said trying to lie his way out of it "Peppy were 
you talking to Pigma just a minute ago?" 
asked James wanting to know "um no why?" said Peppy.  James was now 
suspicious and getting angry "ok! Pigma who
were you talking to?" "I told you" Pigma said in return as his own 
anger grew "I just asked him and he said he wasn't and
I believe him" said James.  As Peppy was listening the vision of Pigma 
on the bench looking angry popped into his mind
and he got suspicious as well.  They were now about 30 miles from 
entering the planet Venom and James and Pigma were
arguing still.  "Pigma don't bullshit with me" said James angry as 
ever.  Pigma paid no attention to James and flew ahead
of James and Peppy boosting all the way into Venom by a settlement that 
had been there.  James sighed in anger
trying to clam down again "Peppy do you have any ideas what's going on 
with him?" he asked still angry a little.
"Well he was mad earlier today maybe that's why or he is just a crabby 
pig today"  Peppy said.  So they continued on
towards Venom.

(((((CHAPTER 3)))))

As they were about ten minutes from entering the planet Venom, they had 
tryed to contact Pigma several times.  "Pigma
this is Peppy do you read me over!" but no luck "Pigma talk to me now 
or i'll fire you from the team!" said James after-
wards.  As they entered the smelly, cloudy, and foggy Venom atmosphere 
it was quiet and still no luck with Pigma.  
After about 5 minutes of watching around them for bogeys and waiting 
for a response from Pigma both their monitors
had turned on with Pigma shown on it.  "Hello guys sorry I didn't get 
back to you right away but I was talking to Andross"
said Pigma in an eerie voice.  They both were silent but were both 
angry and wanted to choke him "YOU TRAITOR!!!"
yelled James furiouslly "thank you" said Pigma in return "WHAT THE HELL 
ARE YOU DOING MAKING DEALS
WITH THAT NO GOOD APE ANYWAY?!!?" yelled James again.  "Well a while 
ago I ran into a venomian lion and he
gave me a really good deal.  I betray you and Peppy and I get ten 
million dollars in cash plus a specialized place in the
Venomian army along with a team called the 'Star Wolf Team' so I took 
it HA HA!" "YOU GO STRAIGHT TO HELL
PIGMA!!!" yelled James "why don't you cause here is your big suprise" 
said Pigma and at that fighters came in huge
swarms out of the fog and clouds and started shooting at them wildly 
from all directions.  "EMERGENCY!" 
yelled James as he was doing flips and barrel rolls trying to dodge all 
of the shots that flew at him.  Peppy was having a
hard time himself he had only managed to shoot down three of the zoo of 
Venomian fighters.  "Peppy I could use some
help here" yelled James so Peppy rushed over to him shooting each one 
of them down one by one "thanks Pep" he said
as he saved his tail.  After about ten minutes of the horrific dogfight 
Peppy was getting hit real hard as was James "I
can't break free!" yelled Peppy in frusteration then James was there to 
save him shooting the fighters down one by one
just like Peppy did "thanks James" he said as he sighed in relief "no 
prob-" then at that James was shot down by Pigma.
"Take that you low life bastard" he said as it soothed him inside for 
shooting him down.  "NOOOOO!" cried out Peppy
"DIE PIGMA DIE!!! YOU PIECE OF SHIT" he yelled shoting wildly at him
in uncontrollable anger.  Pigma was doing barrel rolls dodging every 
one of his shots and only one managed to hit
Pigma's arwing Pigma then did a flip ending up right behind Peppy.  As 
Pigma shot Peppy to death the barrel rolls Peppy
did had done nothing as lasers and charged lasers hit directly on him 
damaging him very badly.  Peppy then did a 
U-turn and lost Pigma as he hid in the fog.  "NO! he got away damnit!" 
Pigma said in frusterstion.  Peppy when hidden 
in the fog turned on his monitor and set it on James' frequency.  He 
saw James laying there knocked out from the crash
and his face bleeding a little from it.  James then woke up and had saw 
Peppy on his scratchy monitor.  "Hold on James
i'm coming to get you buddy" said Pigma and as he flew out of the fog 
all the Venomian fighters had shot at him and  
every single shot that hit his arwing was fatal damage and his shields 
were now down to 10% then he had no choice but
to get out of there so he blasted into the fog loosing the fighters and 
blasted back into space.  As Peppy looked on the
monitor again he saw the Star Wolf Team including Pigma drag James out 
of the cock-pit of his broken down arwing.
The monitor then went blank and he started crying.  "J-James...i-i'm 
sorry" he whispered as he cried.  Meanwhile back
on Venom James was being dragged by the feet across the dirty Venom 
environment.  "Peppy" he said whispering into 
his com-link "James!?" said Peppy still crying "train Fox you hear me! 
train him to become my replacement" "ok James"
Peppy said knowing how to respond to him "I don't know if i'm going to 
make it...I'm sorry old friend" he said 
whispering painfully "James! NOOOO!" said Peppy not wanting him gone.  
Pigma then looked behind him and took the
com-link out of his hand in a greedy way.  "Sorry Peppy ol' buddy but 
it looks like we win HA HA!" he said breaking
the com-link in his pig paw.  "NO JAMES!" yelled Peppy "I'LL GET YOU 
PIGMA! I SWEAR TO GOD I'LL GET YOU"
he said as he was in a uncontrollable stage of anger and crying very 
hardily.  As the Star Wolf Team had reached the base 
on Venom, Pigma took the end of his laser gun and hit James on the head 
hard with it knocking him out again.  "Now I
will leave you in the paws of Leon Powalski our most trustworthy 
chameleon and a great expert in the field of torture"
Pigma said as he said this to James.

(((((CHAPTER 4))))) [THIS PART OF THE STORY IS RATHER GRAPHIC]

When James woke up he found himself in what looked like a jail cell and 
there was a lizard guard with a venomian pin
on his shirt watching him.  As James got to his feet he went and sat on 
a cold metal bench that was in there.  He pulled 
out a picture of his wife and Fox together and he cried looking at it 
"i'm sorry Vixy...i'm sorry Fox" he said putting the
picture down and crying with his face in his paws.  "Oh Fox...Peppy is 
your new dad now and Fo-" he didn't finish as he
cried out with tears rolling down his face and down from his eyes.  
"Shut the hell up you stupid fox!" said the guard as 
his crying iritaded him "kiss my ass" James said afterwards getting 
ready to pull out a dagger that was hidden in one of
his steel-toed boots.  The guard then got up walking over to the cell 
James was in very mad and ready to curse at him 
some more "don't you fu-" as he paused he felt the dagger that James 
threw right in his throat.  He fell dead right by the
cell door and the key had fell out of his pocket.  As James was about 
to grab the key Leon Powalski along with Pigma,
a wolf named Wolf 'O'Donnell, and an ape named Andrew Oikonny were 
standing in front of him.  Leon stomped on his
hand and he had did it so hard he felt it brake on the bottom of his 
foot and James let out a scream of pain.  "Well well I
see you've managed to kill one of our guards" said Leon in an evil 
voice.  James spit on Leon's shoe then cursed at him.
So Pigma opened up the cell door and started walking up to him as James 
crawled into a corner not wanting Pigma to 
do anything to him as his hand was in pain.  As Pigma lifted James up 
by the shirt he fought back giving Pigma a knee to
the stomach.  He had kneed him so hard that Pigma threw up all over the 
floor then as James turned around Wolf was
right behind him and he gave James a hard punch to the face and that 
had knocked James out once again.  James was now
being dragged down the dungeons dirty hallways into a room that was 
empty and had a table in the middle of it.  
Andrew, Wolf, & Pigma then held James up against the wall and chained 
him to it "me and Andrew will go tell Andross 
about our let's say...special guest" said Wolf very evil like "yes 
good" Leon had said afterwards highly agreeing with Wolf
about the 'special guest' part "I want to stay and watch this" said 
Pigma very anxious as he was about to see his once friend
now enemy be tortured to death.  Meanwhile back in space Peppy had 
decided to not go anywhere for awhile and blame
himself for leaving James there like that.  Back in the dungeons James 
had finally woken up but couldn't move because
of the chains tightly wrapped around his wrists, the bottoms of his 
legs, and some around his neck.  Leon and Pigma both
smiled at him evily at the same time then Leon opened up a big black 
briefcase that was on the table pulling out various
torture tools and devices.  He had pulled out a razor knife, a tazor, a 
palm-sized table saw, and many other items and
devices.  As James saw all these tools and devices he closed his eyes 
and many thoughts of pain small and big ran through his head.
As Leon turned on the palm-sized table saw James opened his eyes widely 
and the buzzing sound from it made his body
shake painfully Leon then started walking towards him.  James shook his 
head wildly saying "OH GOD NO!" Leon then
gave an evil chuckle as he started on his left arm.  As he put it in 
his left arm blood flew from it splashing the walls, the
floor, and Leon's face (Leon had a mask thing on though) as all this 
went on James screamed LOUDLY in pain (AND I 
MEAN PAIN).  The saw was grinding on his bone and hellishly tearing 
away at his flesh "STOP IT PLEASE!!!!!" he 
screamed again but Leon was enjoying it all too much to stop so he 
jabbed it in his arm farther just about cutting his arm
off all the way.  Leon then stopped putting away torture item #1 "how 
do you fell" asked Leon looking into his eyes 
James was panting very hard in pain and his heart was beating very fast 
"no...no more" he said in pain.  Leon and
Pigma chuckled "well Pigma what do ya think?" asked Leon "aah the hell 
with him keep going i'm enjoying this" said
Pigma anxious to see more of Leon's work.  Leon then pulled out the 
tazor and showed it to James as he pressed a button
on it.  The electric buzz had made James tighten in his stomach with 
pain "oh shit" he then whispered to himself.  Leon 
then walked up to him "get ready" he had said as he jabbed it in his 
chest sending electric shockwaves through his body.
James was screaming in hellish pain as the sparks from the tazor flew 
off his body.  Leon with glee in his eyes was 
laughing hardely enjoying the sounds of his screams and so was Pigma.  
Leon did it a few more times jabbing him in
different parts of his body including his forehead.  James was shaking 
uncontrollably when he was done with the tazor
"now James" said Leon pulling out his razor knife" i'm now going to do 
something very painful to you even more painful
then the tazor" he said as he slit both James' wrists and the bottom of 
his legs.  Blood had spewed all over the floor 
in a puddle in the middle of the dirty floor "AAAAAAAAAH!!! AAAAH 
GOD!!!" James screamed as Leon and Pigma
both laughed.  After leaving James there in pain for about five minutes 
Wolf and Andrew had walked in the room.  
"Whoa!" said Wolf and Andrew in unison "I see that we have missed the 
best part of the show" Wolf said afterwards 
as his feet splashed in the blood puddles.  The Star Wolf Team then 
unchained James from the wall  and dragged him by 
the feet to Andross's office.  After they dragged him out of the room 
he was being tortured in, a janitor person with 
Venom started cleaning the room.  The room was filled with nothing but 
blood everywhere and a trail leading to 
Andross's office and the smell of blood was everywhere.  He tried to 
ignore the smell but it was so bad he put on what
looked like a mini-towel over his mouth and nose then started to clean.  
When they brought James to his office they left
him in there alone with Andross so he could secretly finish what Leon 
started.  "Aah James McCloud" said Andross
excited as ever to kill him.  James could not talk cause he was in so 
much pain from the slit wrists and legs and still
feeling the afterfeeling of the shockwaves.  "I payed Pigma well for 
betraying you and Peppy and it sure made him 
happy as it did for me as well" after saying that he looked into his 
eyes as they were slowly shutting.  Andross slapped
him and his eyes opened widely again "stay with me now McCloud" he said 
getting angry.  Andross then dragged him
down to a room with a chair in the middle of it.  He was then placed in 
it and blind folded "wha...the...h-hell...do...you.
..plan...t-to....do with me" James said as he couldn't see anything 
"well James let's just say...KILL YOU" Andross said getting
ready to push a switch.  "Any last words McCloud" Asked Andross willing 
to give him a few last words "P-Peppy...watch
...F-Fox...train him...t-to...be a great pilot...and...k-kill 
A-Andross" he said as he cried under the blind fold and out loud
then Andross pushed the switch.  (BACK IN SPACE) As Peppy looked up 
teary-eyed a bright flash exploded all over 
space and Peppy stood up fast and covered his eyes as the blinding 
light came at him.  Andross then appeared on Peppy's
monitor "aah Peppy how are you? well I hope good" he said giving an 
evil chuckle "I will spare your life but to let you
know James is dead and that's a warning so don't fuck with us venomians 
GOT IT!"  then the monitor went blank.  Peppy cried
hardely again so he headed back to Corneria.  General Pepper then 
appeared on his monitor "Peppy is everything ok?
what's wrong" he asked looking very worried so Peppy looked at him 
saying "James is dead! Andross killed him when
James was shot down on Venom" he said crying in front of Pepper 
"Peppy...I-" Pepper was interrupted "and it's my fault for 
leaving him there like that!" Peppy cried again.  At that Peppy turned 
off his monitor wanting it quiet the rest of the way 
home.

(((((CHAPTER 5)))))  

As Peppy entered the clean Cornerian atmosphere he landed at the main 
base right next to the great fox mothership that
James had created himself.  When Peppy got out of his arwing still 
crying the general had been there waiting for him.  He
saw Peppy still crying as this would of been the most hardest time for 
him so he chose his words carefully.  "Peppy" the
general said softly not wanting to upset him in any way "how did this 
all happen?" so Peppy looked at him "Pigma shot
him down in Venom and tried shooting me down to but I got away" he said 
"AND I LEFT HIM!!" he said again practially
yelling "PIGMA!?!" said Pepper "that TRAITOR" he said again growling in 
anger showing his sharp teeth and they both 
were silent as they walked into the base.  Pepper went into his office 
and shut the door rather hardly and as for Peppy he
had to tell Fox.  Before entering his room (or his quarters) he whiped 
his eyes and closed his eyes entering his room.
"Peppy! you're back HI" Fox said in exitement as he was happy to see 
Peppy  (Peppy was like a second father to Fox 
simply because he was there for him when his dad wasn't around and 
Peppy had watched Fox grow up ever since).  
"Where's my daddy I have to show him this amazing model arwing I made 
for him" Fox said joyfully showing it to him 
"Fox can I talk to you" said Peppy looking sad "um sure I guess" Fox 
said looking very worried from the expression on Peppy's face.
"Your father isn't going to be coming back" said Peppy as a tear fell 
slowly down his face "Andross killed him" he said
again looking at the ground and sobbing.  Fox dropped the model arwing 
on the ground and looked at Peppy as if he was
ready to faint.  "But...b-but that's impossible he's the best pilot in 
all of Corneria" he said as a tear fell down his face.  
Peppy looked up at him "I tried to save him but I couldn't I would've 
died...Fox I am so sorry" he said as he whispered on
the "i'm so sorry" part "James i'm sorryyy" Peppy said again crying 
wishing it was him and not James.  Fox cried
putting his face in his paws Peppy looked at Fox seeing how hard it was 
going to be for him "Fox m'boy come here" he
said then Fox ran into him hugging him hard in a total breakdown.  
After five minutes of hugging Fox sat at his desk laying
his arms on the desk then laying his face over them.  Peppy left his 
room closing the door "Fox" a voice said "Fox" it said 
again.  "Daddy?" Fox said still crying "is that you?" (it was his dad 
talking to him) "Fox you have to take my place" he 
said "Fox you can do it my son" "NOOOO! DADDY I CAN'T" Fox said crying 
for his dad "Fox" James said again as
James was starting to sob a tiny bit "Fox yes you can you have to take 
my spot and take Andross down" "DADDY!!!"
cried Fox then there was no answer after that so he cried some more.  
As Peppy laid on his bed he tried to rest but he
couldn't "James i'm so sorry" he whispered and after the news was out 
all over Corneria the whole city was silent
and all because of Pigma Dengar for his betrayal to the Star Fox Team.

After a year passed, Peppy had sent Fox off to the Academy to get some 
of the best training and take his dads spot in the
team and avenge his fathers death.  After a few more years Fox was in 
the team and he got married to Fara Pheonix.
