Author: KILLERTHUNDER Subject: Reiteration Ch. 1 Posted: FEBRUARY 06, 1999 08:54 Ch. 1-Inevitable Part 1 After failing to kill Andross, Jack had to depend on the second tier of his plan. In reality, it was in action before Nizor's mission started, but few knew this. In order to launch when no one knew, he launched while the Cornerian Army was testing their T3. He sent a pilot, his son, Jeff Calem, back to the A.E. //Andross Era//. Jeff's mission was to eliminate Star Fox in any method possible. Without Star Fox, Corneria would be partially defenseless. Plus, it would possibly destroy the Cornerian Army //Andross' Army might win the war//, leaving only Andross as competition. The flight left three days previous to Nizor's. Yet, Jeff would only know to fulfill his mission if Andross still existed. When he got there, Andross was alive, and Corneria was being attacked. Jeff knew Star Fox would be contacted. He would have to intercept them. With Jeff were three other pilots. Their technology was superior to that of Star Fox. Part 2 "Fox, you've got to go back again." Pepper said over the comm link. "Why? We did our job." Fox asked. "He's still irritated." Pepper thought. Finally, he said, "Because you're Jack's next target, and he's a week ahead of you in preparation." "Well tell us when he launches. To what time period do you think he will go?" "1 A.E. He al--" "The second year, or first "official" year of the war. Why there?" "That can be discussed later." Pepper said. "No, it can be discussed now." Fox shot back. "Well, Jack already launched, so it's your life you are risking." "When?" "Before the first pilot, Nisot, or whatever you called him, launched, another pilot went back as a safety." "We've got to hurry. Any help? "The Army from back then." "Great." Fox said in anguish. Part 3 "Why do you want to meet me?" Wolf asked as he sat down at the table. Across from him was the surprise. A man had requested to meet hime at this diner, but now Wolf was annoyed he came to meet the man. "Do you ever remember why you joined Andross?" Nizor asked. "Yeah. Why do you ask?" "Don't you ever wonder why he was sent back to tell you to do it?" "A little. I never knew why my present self went back into time to convince myself to join Andross. He just seemed confident I would join." "And you did, as you were supposed to." "Why do you say all of this?" "Because I sent you." "Wha...?" Wolf said in a gasp. "In this conversation. So, I need you to go back and, well, convince yourself." "Why did I do this for you?" "You won't understand yet. Maybe in the future you will." Nizor said. "Lunch is on me. I've got to run." He laid the money down and left. Ch. 2-Loss of Time Part 1 "Fox, you should've left an hour ago. You have no idea when the enemy may attack you." Pepper said in complaint to Fox's delay. "I have to question something, Pepper." Fox said. "What's that?" "I never said I was going to ask you." Fox said. "Maybe, though, I should ask it of one of the older, wiser members of Corneria." "Well then, wait until you come back to do it." "The question concerns the mission." "You want to live or die?" Falco asked, impatient and ready to go. "Alright, hold on." Fox said as he climbed into his ship. Soon they were back in 1 A.E. Part 2 "If you don't leave soon, you will not fulfill the mission." Nizor said to Wolf. "What is the purpose, though, if I'm going to join anyway?" Wolf asked. "You won't join unless you go back to tell yourself to do it." "What is my joining Andross really supposed to do?" "You won't understand yet. In time, you will." Nizor said. "Argh. Well then, I'm off to revise my past." Wolf said. "Wrong. You're off to determine your past." The comm link shut off. Ch. 3-Explanations of the Past Part 1 "So, we're looking for ourselves?" Slippy asked. "Yep." Peppy replied. Silence again came over the team. It was the fourth time this occurred since they travelled back in time again. They felt odd about encountering their past selves in this scenario. "I've got to question something." Peppy said. "Maybe you can help answer it, Slippy." "What's the question?" Slippy asked. "Okay, let's analyze something. If we came back in time, wouldn't we have met ourselves back then?" "You mean the idea that each second of time occurs once?" "Yes." "Well, it's a possibility. Nothing is known, but in reality, that would be the presumed ideal." Slippy responded. "What's your point?" Fox asked. "Well, did you ever remember meeting yourself back then?" "No." They all replied. "Does that not make anyone question what will happen from this mission?" Peppy said. "What, will we die?" Slippy asked. "Will we be stuck?" Falco asked. Before Fox could add his question, and before Peppy could reply to any of the comments, four laser beams grazed their arwings. "Hey!..." Slippy yelled. "Okay, Star Fox, time for you to be exterminated." Jeff Calem said. "What are on those planes?" Falco said. The planes disappeared. "Better question is where are they." Fox said. "We could tell you the type of plane, but you'd never believe it." Jeff said. "Try me." Slippy said. "It's a Wolfen 2. But you've never seen one." "Wolfen 2? Yawn, I've taken one down." "How?! You haven't even encountered a Wolfen 1 yet." Jeff asked in shock. "Well, I have no clue as to what your talking about, but I want to fight." Falco said as he launched a bomb. The explosion temporarily deactivated Jeff's team's chameleon plane technology that enabled them to be hidden. When Star Fox saw the positions of the enemies, they attacked. "Wait...your the future Star Fox, aren't you?" Lily, one of Jeff's copilots asked. "Good call." Falco said. "Oh, s--, retreat team." Jeff said. Just then their cloak reactivated. "Get them!" Fox yelled. Fire of lasers lit the air. Two ships appeared as they spinned uncontrollably to their doom. Jeff and Lily still were missing. Suddenly Fox was hit by another ship. A large tear was on his left wing. "Fox, get out of here." Slippy yelled. Suddenly, two planes clipped his wings, tearing both off. His ship floated, unresponsive to his control. BOOM! Two bombs blasted, taking Jeff down and showing Lily. "If you surrender, you'll be taken peacefully." Fox said to the remaining pilot. "And why should I?" Lily said. "Cause we need to ask you questions, back in the real time period, and we don't care whether or not if you don't want to. You will go." Fox said. Part 2 Wolf, in his plane, still did not understand why he was doing this. He understood to change himself, but he could not completely understand Nizor's reasoning. Nizor said the future was dependant on it. Yet, this made no sense to Wolf. However, he wasn't going to question it at this time. Back in time he went, to his last day in Cornerian flight school. He had always remembered that day. He was jealous of other pilots, but that hadn't been the reason for his anger. He had not yet been offered a high-level position in the Cornerian army. Normally, pilots of his class rank moved up quickly, but he was being ignored. After walking through the crowd, Wolf spotted his younger self. As when he was young, the adult Wolf lured the younger outside to chat. "You are to accept Andross' offer." the adult Wolf said. "What offer?" the young one questioned. "You'll see, just do it." "Why should I?" the young one replied with a sneer. "Because you have to. Your not going to get into the Cornerian army, so you might as well take any job offer you get." Realizing the older Wolf was correct, the younger Wolf went back inside, where he would later join Andross. "Now to go back to normal time." the adult Wolf said to himself.
