Like many games StarFox has remnants of its earlier incarnations buried inside. While no one has found any hidden levels or objects yet in the game, a quick glance in a hex editor reveals text that clearly refers to demo modes, hover tanks, walkers, and an arsenal of weapons not in the normal game, such as the Mach Gun, Trilaser, homing missile, and shot gun.
